Job Training

Many young adults have a disability that may stop them from entering the real world. Our goal in STEP is to teach people what their disabilities are, so they can understand their strengths and weaknesses. "I, myself struggle with a disability which is self advocacy. I try to figure out things for myself which is why I sometimes don't ask for help, sometimes when I'm really upset, I let my emotions get the best of me and not express my needs. Also, I have trouble finding the right words to say while I'm speaking, mostly because of my anxiety." This is my quote and the reason why I applied to the "STEP Transition Program", so I can learn to not overthink and just go with the flow. Some people may have this disability or not, but people with any disability are welcomed in STEP.
