    Walking around the Village

A rainy day at the Village was the perfect day to walking around in the search for a few photographs. I was also able to introduce myself to other interpreters and learn from them things like cider making at the mill, gardening at the Parsonage House, apple picking and composting techniques at the Freeman's Farm and I even got to vote for the best butter in town at the Agricultural fair exhibit in the meetinghouse.

At the Carding Mill I got to learn about Samuel Slater, known as the "Father of the American Industrial Revolution. He was about to kickstart the industrial revolution by making the carding machine accessible to the United States as wells as designing the first textile mills.
