Caleb and Emma stood there waiting for a reaction as Luis Angel was reading Magdalena's letter. They were expecting the worst possible news and then his face changed like a tree during spring time, from stark and lifeless to green and full of new life!

"Señor San Miguel kept his promise", he said as he held the letter in front of him.
Caleb and Emma were just standing there trying to decipher Luis Angel's reaction.
"Mr. San Miguel is coming to visit and to personally bring me the deed for the 250 acres of land in Spain he promised me for my 21st birthday", the happy young man said with a big smile on his face.
Emma was so happy for Luis Angel, she knew he was missing Mr. San Miguel greatly. She could see the joy in his eyes and for the first time Emma began to understand why she had this connection with him. Caleb saw Emma looking at him and at this point he began to understand the connection between his two friends.

Luis Angel and Emma headed back to the store, their walk didn't have many words but everything could be seen in the way they looked at each other. Luis Angel couldn't wait to tell Judge Knight the great news. Luis Angel had been dreaming about this moment for a long time, having the financial means to pursue his dream of running his own distillery. Luis Angel always imagined going into business on his own in Spain, but maybe his dream will be taking a geographical turn. His own distillery in the town of Sturbridge, Massachusetts!

"!Madre mía, ayúdame!", (mother please help me) he said to his mother in the heavens. Excited and confused but also determined to begin his adventure, our young entrepreneur asked himself this very important question, "why not build my dream and life here at Sturbridge instead of Spain?" All of the sudden he snapped out of his daydream and the first thing that came out of his mouth was "Emma!". Emma unaware she was interrupting his thoughts about her said "Do you want to discuss the preparations for Mr. San Miguel's visit?" in such a sweet and caring way.
."Thank you Emma, you are so sweet and caring!", said Luis Angel and at that moment it was so clear why he wanted to stay in Sturbridge. The reason was just standing right in front of him.
"Thank you Mamá for your guidance, your boy will now be a Puerto Rican living in Sturbridge, Massachusetts!," the future New Englander said to himself as he turned his attention to the sweet and caring young woman.
Spring was in the evening air and Luis Angel wrote by the candlelight the words that freely volunteered themselves to the night.
