The Storekeepers of Vermont

Today a boy asked me while I was working at the Asa Knight Store if I ( Asa Knight the store owner) would give a poor family what they need even if they didn't have the money to pay for it. At that moment I forgot all about facts and just said yes....I would! The boy turned towards his mother with the biggest smile and say " See mom I told you so, he's like grandpa, a nice store owner. The boy had a grandfather that owned a store in Vermont, yes Vermont. That's where Asa Knight had his store in the 1830s.

Three weeks ago a visitor asked me where Dummerston, Vermont was, the original location of the Asa Knight's store. I told the visitor that I wasn't sure exactly where Dummerston, Vermont was, and like magic another visitor said "I'm from Dummerson and we are located about 9 miles north of Brattleboro."

It's like Asa Knight is here watching over us!!!!
